The Paul Mitchell Spring Tour 2017
With the launch of three new brands to Paul Mitchell, The Demi, Pop XG and Neon, this year’s Spring Tour was jam-packed with new ideas and techniques to take on board.
We’ve been working with the colour lines The Demi and Pop XG since they first launched (you can see some of our creations on our social media pages) but it was great to see how they can be used in even more innovative ways.
We were also lucky enough to see International Educator Heather Kaanoi, sharing all of the buzz from Paul Mitchell’s The School, Los Angeles.
From colouring, to braiding, to cutting, to creating occasion hair, all bases were covered and we learnt so much!
Guy Tang Live
The self-proclaimed “Hair Activist” Guy Tang did a live show in Manchester recently to promote the Metallic Obsessions range, his collaboration with Kenra Color. He’s closely followed on social media by most of the Stylists here at TH1 and a few of the girls were lucky enough to attend the show.
Mr Tang shared some of his methods including his personal pre-lightening techniques, a key element to his most famous creations. The team found his tips extremely helpful and using his permanent and demi-permanent colours here at the salon we’ve been able to recreate some of his world-renowned looks (with a TH1 twist of course!)
Beyond the Balayage Course
The team had a fab time in Liverpool on Salon Success’ Beyond the Balayage course. The brilliant Luke was on hand with all of the latest trends and techniques. The girls are excited to put their new skills to use in the salon!”
New Paul Mitchell Colour Range
Exciting times at TH1 with the introduction of the new Paul Mitchell colour range. On the 26th March the delivery of the new XG and XG Shine colours arrived at TH1. Paul Mitchell, the best selling brand in the USA, have developed a range of products which create true, gorgeous colour with consistent and predictable results.
The colours were accompanied by Joe, the Paul Mitchell Colour Ambassador, who provided the team with an intensive day of training; both practical and theory. We learned a lot about the range and new techniques we can use which we cannot wait to put into practice. We should also say that it was actually really good fun.
Training Day with Becky, Creative Educator of GHD
Here are a few pictures from a recent training day with the lovely Becky, Creative Educator for GHD. We had lots of fun trying out new techniques and it was a great opportunity to sample the newest stylers.
Staff Training Day
The staff at TH1 had fun whilst getting involved in a team building exercise in the salon. They competed in pairs to build a tower using dry spaghetti and marshmallows….. Congratulations to Sian and Alfie for constructing the tallest tower!
These are photos from a training day with Paul Mitchell “I’mPossible” Next Generation Tour in Liverpool. Dawn, Nona and Alfie learnt new cutting and colouring techniques as Paul Mitchell launched their new colour! Sectioning techniques were inspired by the rotational blades of windmills, giving the colour and cut a new dimensional perspective!
